However, it has a battery life that will play you only about 6 hours of video. That is quite a bit, but when you have it for a year or so, it will fill up fast. The aps take up some space, and then you start throwing on songs and video, and it really adds up.

I have no idea what the prices are in your town; you will have to shop around, but I would recommend Costco, as they tend to be a little cheaper with this product, but you will have to check. They are really secure and you can buy used or, if you prefer a cheap brand new itouch, then they also have new ones for you. You complain and send it back to apple, who give you another free itouch. Apple, in turn, fixes the screen and wants to sell it again, only they have to provide it for a discount. So, they give them to some retailer to sell them for a good deal. This is probably the cheapest itouch you will be able to get, but they could have problems with them still, so be careful.

One last strategy  that I want to discuss is using the internet to your advantage to buy a cheap itouch. First, you need to go sign up for an account at ebay. Then, search for “ipod touch” in the search box at the top of the site. Find what you are looking for, make sure that it is the size and generation you need, then start bidding. This is a way to get the cheapest itouch, but you can also get the most expensive itouch ever, so be careful what you do. Truthfully, I do not do much on ebay, but I have heard of some really great deals there, and you might be successful.

First of all, you can try and get a used one. You can find some of these in lots of places, you can try Amazon for a start. Also, you could look for used ones on craigslist or ebay. The benefits of this are that it is cheaper, however you will also have to deal with an itouch that has already been used and abused by people. It could be in pretty bad condition. Also, you run a risk in purchasing used stuff online. You never know what you are getting from where ever you buy it. This is a way to get a little cheaper, but in my opinion, the cons outweigh the pros.

The second way to save a little cash on an itouch is by buying refurbished. This is another way to buy used, only in a little better condition. These are usually a little better working and looking, but still may not work perfectly or could have scratches and cracks and dents. These also tend to be easier and safer to buy, although it may be harder to find them. I would recommend this over buying a used cheap itouch, but used may be even cheaper than refurbished.

Also, if you plan on having a huge itunes library, like a couple thousand songs, you will need a bigger memory, but for the average person, you will not need very much memory. It is up to you and how much you will be using it, also think about wether you are going to stick with it for a long time or will get rid of it after a couple months.

Also be sure to shop around for them, the prices do not differ widely from store to store, but you need to look around before buying them. Also, do not wait for sales. As  I said earlier, Apple rigorously controls the sales of ipod touches and all of their products, so you will very rarely see a sale in a store or online.

In the end, the investment is yours and you will have to make a decision on what ipod touch you will get, or if you will get a used itouch. Just weigh your options and you will find a new cheap itouch pretty easily.
