If you are looking for a new cheap ipod touch, then you may be finding it hard to find some for a good price. In this page, I will discuss several ways that you can obtain a cheap or at least cheaper itouch, but as you will see, finding the cheapest itouch can be extraordinarily difficult.

The benefits of this are that it is cheaper, however you will also have to deal with an itouch that has already been used and abused by people. It could be in pretty bad condition. Also, you run a risk in purchasing used stuff online. You never know what you are getting from where ever you buy it. This is a way to get a little cheaper, but in my opinion, the cons outweigh the pros.

The second way to save a little cash on an itouch is by buying refurbished. This is another way to buy used, only in a little better condition. These are usually a little better working and looking, but still may not work perfectly or could have scratches and cracks and dents. These also tend to be easier and safer to buy, although it may be harder to find them. I would recommend this over buying a used cheap itouch, but used may be even cheaper than refurbished.

Another tip that should save you a couple bucks on an ipod touch is to try buying a later generation, such as a first generation rather than cheap itouch 2nd gen. These may not be the latest and greatest, but they still work and will do most of the things that you need them to do. They may have a few less features and sometimes they are slower, but I am pretty sure that you can deal with it if you save twenty or thirty bucks.

The next way to get a new cheap itouch, without buying used or refurbished is by considering the size of your itouch. There are all kinds of sizes from 8gb to 80gb. When looking at these devices, you need to consider how much you are going to be using it, and what you will be using it for. If you are going to be using it for storing photos, then you need a larger itouch, such as a cheap itouch 32gb. You should also look for bigger sizes(note that I am talking about the size of the memory, not physical size) if you are going to have hundreds of apps, as they take up space as well. Also, if you plan on having a huge itunes library, like a couple thousand songs, you will need a bigger memory, but for the average person, you will not need very much memory. It is up to you and how much you will be using it, also think about wether you are going to stick with it for a long time or will get rid of it after a couple months.

Also be sure to shop around for them, the prices do not differ widely from store to store, but you need to look around before buying them. Also, do not wait for sales. As  I said earlier, Apple rigorously controls the sales of ipod touches and all of their products, so you will very rarely see a sale in a store or online.

In the end, the investment is yours and you will have to make a decision on what ipod touch you will get, or if you will get a used itouch. Just weigh your options and you will find a new cheap itouch pretty easily.
